Current Vacancies
Train to become a swimming teacher with us
If you would like to learn how to become a teacher we would like to hear from you.
If you do not already hold a swimming teacher qualification, that is ok, for the right candidates, we will provide you with all of the mentoring and support needed. We would also provide you with first aid and child safeguarding training.
Candidates will need to be passionate about working with children and once qualified be available to work for us at one of our locations for at least a few hours per week. Our operational hours are mainly evenings and weekends and we work in and around Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Chesham, Aylesbury and Highgate. With other areas coming online all of the time.
We pay up to £25.00 per hour to our swimming teachers.
Swimming Teacher
Watford and Wildfish Swim Schools are always looking for qualified teachers to work part time and on a cover work basis to join our teaching teams in Watford, Highgate, Hemel Hempstead, Chesham and Aston Clinton.
If you are passionate about swimming, have a real enthusiasm for teaching children through to adults and fulfil the requirements below, then we want to hear from you
- Hold a Level 2 Swim England certificate in teaching swimming OR STA Certificate in Teaching Swimming
- A current Teacher Rescue Test or National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is desirable however is not essential
- A member of the IOS
- Can develop creative and innovative classes following the Swim England National Swim Plan for Teaching Swimming.
The rate of pay is : up to £25.00 per hour

Casual & Part Time Lifeguards required.
We are currently looking for part time and casual lifeguards to work at our locations in the Chesham, Hemel Hempstead and Aston Clinton areas. We currently have available shifts on Saturday and Sunday mornings and mid-week evenings (term time only) . These shifts can be split between several lifeguards, if needed.
Successful candidates will need to attend a monthly 2 hour training session as part of their working hours.
We are happy to provide full Lifeguard training for the right person.
There is also an option to become a qualified swimming teacher via our teacher training programme, if you are interested.
